5. Postage and Stationery Add-Ons
Invitation suites, RSVP cards, save-the-dates, thank-you cards and the postage for all of them add up faster than expected, especially with heavier invitations that require extra postage. Get an actual postage quote before finalizing paper weight and size.
6. Alterations and Undergarments
The dress or suit price is rarely the full cost. Alterations alone can add a meaningful percentage on top, and specialty undergarments or shoes are easy to forget when budgeting the "attire" category.
7. Delivery, Setup and Breakdown Fees
Florists, rental companies and even cake bakers often charge separately for delivery, setup and breakdown — sometimes more than the item itself for a small order. Always ask "is delivery and setup included in this quote?" before comparing prices between vendors.
